Georgia Marie Dowell

Georgia Marie Dowell, 79, of Mansfield, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Arbors of Mifflin. She was born in Praise, Kentucky on November 19, 1942 to the late James and Eulah (Spears) Belcher.

Georgia was a social butterfly and found joy in spending time with her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to go walking, play bingo and occasionally have lunch at McDonalds. Georgia was active in her church Bible study and women’s group.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Leigh (Jeffrey) Schnuerer; sons, Timothy Earl Adkins (Tracy Smith) and Kenneth Charles (Lora) Adkins; grandchildren, Trista Marie Schnuerer, Mary Elizabeth Adkins, Anthony Conway, Amanda Reeves, Sarah Reeves, Chevelle Adkins and Dustin First; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Jerrica Adkins and Keneth Adkins; great-grandchild, Wesley Fogle; sisters, Carol Belcher and Mary Pittenger; and lifelong friend, Kenneth Adkins.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. with dinner to follow at Ridgeway First Church of God, 1380 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, Ohio 44905. Memorial contributions may be made to Ridgeway First Church of God for Kids for Camp. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
