
Glen H. Zartman, age 83, of Mansfield, died Saturday afternoon at Woodlawn Nursing Home following an extended illness. Glen was born September 12, 1922 in Utica, Ohio to Ernest & Margaret Martin Zartman and has lived in Mansfield most of his life. He had retired from White Westinghouse after 43½ of service and Sears for almost 28 years. Glen was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII attaining rank of Tech. 5th Grade.
Surviving are one son, Jamie Zartman; four grandchildren who were his life, Adam, Dustin, Matt, and Ryan; daughter-in-law, Candace Zartman; two sisters, Virginia Kushin of Mansfield, and Helen Zirille of Mishawaka, IN; special nephew and his wife, Keith & Dora Dickerson; special niece, Carol Jean Pittenger; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, June Bowman Zartman; four brothers, Paul, Clark, Warren, and Billy Zartman; four sisters, Beulah Max, Ruth V. Dickerson, Margaret Shade, and Genevieve Foncannon.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Tuesday, May 30, 2006 from 6-9 p.m. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Josh Walker and the Youth Minister, Joe Pfeiffer. Memorial contributions may be made to Mansfield First Friends Youth Group for their trip to Tijuana, Mexico.
