Gregory "Gregg" Zuber, 63, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service. Born on February 26, 1962, to Joseph and Judith (Shade) Zuber, Gregg grew up in Mansfield and graduated from Madison High School in 1980.
Following graduation, Gregg proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman, dedicating himself to the care and healing of others. His commitment to service continued in civilian life, where he worked as a phlebotomist at MedCentral in Mansfield. Gregg also volunteered his time and talents at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. Known for his gentle touch and compassionate heart, Gregg had a special talent for working with babies and children, earning the trust and admiration of patients and colleagues alike.
In addition to his medical work, Gregg also brought his skills to Roush Communications as a subcontractor. Outside of his professional life, he was a man of many passions. He loved the camaraderie of playing Texas Hold 'em Poker with his circle of friends and found peace and joy in fishing. A die-hard Ohio State Buckeyes fan, Gregg never missed a game and cheered on his team with great pride.
Of all his roles in life, none brought him more joy than being “Pop Pop” to his grandchildren who had a special place in his heart. He truly treasured every moment spent with them.
Gregg is survived by his mother, Judie Zuber; his son, Brian (Jessica) Zuber; sisters, Michelle (Duane) Debo and Anngie (Chris) Tager; grandchildren, Ella Roberts, Weston Zuber, Caiden Robinson, and Amiya Robinson; his special niece, Bethani Debo; and many beloved extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Zuber.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025, 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Life Celebration Reception Center located at 129 South Main Street, Mansfield. Memorial Contributions can be made to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
