Harold Beaver

Harold E. 'Jim' Beaver, 73, of Galion died Friday evening March 10, 2000 at his home following an extended illness.  Mr. Beaver was born April 19, 1926 in Shelby, Ohio.  He retired as a foreman from Empire-Detroit Steel after 29 years of service.  He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #9943. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Ann M. Holzman Beaver of Galion, OH; two sons & a daughter-in-law, James G. Beaver of Venice, Florida and Patrick J. & Pamela Beaver of Mansfield; three daughters & sons-in-law, Diane & Dan Diggs of Beaverton, Oregon, Karen & Glenn Baughman of Nunane, Georgia, and Connie & Rick Lautzenhiser of Galion, OH; eight grandchildren, Brent & Mathew Diggs, Joshua & Jessica Beaver, Nicholas & Jacob Baughman, and Katie & Sara Lautzenhiser; two brothers, Jacque Beaver of Shelby, OH and Paul Beaver of Greenwich, OH; two sisters, Betty Kaler of Gahanna, OH and Sally Ann Phelps of Philadelphia; and numerous nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence W. & Ruth McDaneld Beaver. Memorial graveside services with military rites will be held Friday, March 17, 2000 at 1:30 p.m.  Burial will be held in Mansfield Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Galion Hospice.
