

Harold “Hal” Dickson, 92, of Mansfield, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Liberty Nursing Center. Born February 19, 1920 in Mansfield, he was the son of Paul and Myrtle (Baker) Dickson. A 1938 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, Hal was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church, the American Legion, and 40 et 8. Hal also enjoyed bowling and golfing.
He is survived by his son, Michael (Lynnea) Dickson of Pine Island, NY; daughter, Debbie Dickson of Mansfield; grandchildren, Amy (Sam) Love of Albany, OH and Sarah Dickson and Michael Dickson of Pine Island, NY; great grandchildren, Adrian, Samantha, and Solomon Love of Albany, OH; sisters, Rosine (Robert) Guerin of Mansfield and Mary Snyder of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Helena Premy and grandson, Scooter Ward.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at First English Lutheran Church, 53 Park Ave West, Mansfield, conducted by Pastor Andrew Jones. Friends may call prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield.
