

Harold W. Salters, 71, of Shiloh, died early Tuesday morning, December 2, 2014 at Hospice House in Ashland. He was born December 14, 1942, in Lynwood, California, to the late Doris (Mitchell) and Vard Salters.
He was employed as a pipe fitter and ironworker in Northern California and was a member of the local Pipe Fitters Union. Harold was a member of Bethesda Fellowship Church. An avid camper and hiker, he was a perfect example of a Godly Christian man. Harold was devoted to his family and displayed the perfect example of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Leah Lawrence Salters; seven children, Chuck (Beverly) Salters of Mansfield, Dawn (Kevin) Salters-Kleiman of Ashland, Brian Salters of Huntington, WV, Thomas (Kirsten) Salters and Doug (Rebecca) Salters, both of Elk Grove, CA, Darla (Jamie) Salters-Schiro of Shiloh and Paula (Jay) Salters-Littlefield of Mansfield; and grandchildren, Stephanie Salters-Phillips, Ethan Salters, Alex Salters, Andrew Kleiman, Melissa Kleiman-Nelson, Brandon Kleiman, Morgan Salters-Nelson, Michael Salters, Austin Salters, Josiah Salters, Jordan Schiro, Kaleigh Schiro, Ashleigh Littlefield, Jayson Littlefield, Izach Littlefield. Harold is also survived by great-grandchildren, Owen, Joel and Luke Phillips, and Sebastian Nelson, and Jude and Titus Nelson; a brother, Michael Salters of Bakersfield, CA; two sisters, Joyce Salters-Haile of Chico, CA and Rita Salters of Sacramento, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Abundant Life Tabernacle, 1050 Bedford Blvd., Ontario, Ohio with additional visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
