Helen Bryan

Helen Kathryn Friday Bryan, 87, of Mansfield, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. Born April 15, 1920 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of John C. and Louisa Leistinsnider Friday. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Helen was the owner of Bryan's Custom Crafts for 50 years. She loved crafts and flowers. Helen was an active volunteer at Kingwood Center and a member of the Brush and Palette Club. In her younger years, she used enjoy square dancing with her husband.

She is survived by four sons, Donald E. Jeneva Johns Bryan of Mansfield, Kenneth L. Doreen Henahan Bryan, Sr. of Chicago, Illinois, David M. Bryan of Anchorage, Alaska, and Bradley D. Bryan of Ontario; two grandchildren, Lisa A. Bryan and Kenneth L. Bryan, Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Ashley N. and Christopher M. Bryan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale T. Bryan on October 31, 2007; her parents; two brothers; one sister, Martha Beal.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Rev. Dennis Allison. Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Kingwood Center.
