
Henry C. Burkhart, Jr., 61, of Naples, Florida died Thursday morning, January 18, 2001 after a brief illness. Mr. Burkhart was born April 11, 1939 in Crestline, Ohio living in the Crestline area until 1995. He was owner/operator of Hank's Body Shop in Crestline from 1967 to 1995. Mr. Burkhart was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Dadacau, Germany from 1959 to 1962.
He is survived by his best friend, Kim Porter of Mansfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Jon & Jennifer Burkhart of Mansfield; and two grandchildren, Blake and Mia Burkhart.
Also surviving, one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa & Pete Moritz of Lucas and their children, Peter and Adam; 11 brothers and sisters and their spouses, Charles & Diane Burkhart of Milford, Delaware, Joseph & Sandy Burkhart of Crestline, Thomas & Peggy Burkhart of Marysville, Ohio, Mary Lou & Charles Marek of Crestline, William & Barbara Burkhart of Galion, Gladys Burkhart of Crestline, Cathy & Michael Forman of Galion, Jim & Rose Burkhart of Wooster, Evelyn Buchanan of Ashland, Theresa Jane & Tom Fisher of Lakeland, Florida, and Ernest & Linda Burkhart of Eldersburg, Maryland; and 24 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry C., Sr. & Catherine Schauff Burkhart; and one sister, Elizabeth Burkhart.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church conducted Father Thomas Ankenbrandt. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the VA Hospice Fund, 4100 W. Third St., Dayton, Ohio 45428.
