

Born October 7, 1916 in Leon, Kentucky she was the daughter of Henry Clarence Gee, Sr. and Lula (Shepard) Gee. An area resident most of her life, she retired from Mansfield General Hospital and had also worked for Bogner Cleaners for a number of years. A faithful member of Apostolic Faith Assembly in Mansfield, she was affectionately referred to as “Grandma” by all who knew her.
She is survived by a daughter, Opal Hacker of Ostander, Ohio; a sister, Mary Hamilton of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Becky (Will) Newland, Buddy (Lynn) Trease, Ryan (Kathy) Trease, Reid (Allison) Hacker, Robert (Joyce) O’Brian, Jr. and Karen (Dave) Burroughs; five great grandchildren, Chad (Rachel) O’Brian, Brad O’Brian, Taylor Newland, Clark Newland and Eleanor Newland; one great grandson, Gatlin O’Brian; a son-in-law, Robert O’Brian, Sr.; special nieces and nephew, Ann Owens and Willa Walters and Barry Hamilton; and numerous other nieces, nephews and loving friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Riggs; a daughter, Eleanor O’Brian; a son, Chandice Riggs; two brothers, William Gee and Arnold Clarence Gee, Sr.; and four sisters, Evie Perry, Bertha Baker, Amelia Pope and Grace Stamper.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario conducted by Pastor Robert O’Brian, Jr. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home on Thursday.
