Irene Poe

Irene Poe, 92, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Liberty Nursing Home surrounded by her family following a long battle with Alzheimer's. The daughter of Ernest and Agnes Perry, Irene was born on December 13, 1925 in Louisa, Kentucky.

Irene's love was unconditional. She was a wonderful cook, which included her famous apple crisp cake.

She is survived by her daughters, Sue Blankenship and Patti (Rick) Neuhart both of Ontario; grandchildren, Sherry (Sherrod) Warwick and James Blankenship both of North Carolina and Matt (Brenda) Neuhart of Shelby; nine great-grandchildren, Brandon, Miranda, Felicia, Chelsey, Mercedes, Brandon, Paige, Ethan and Tyler; four great-great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Vivian Perry of Ontario. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings; Everett and Chet Perry, Verna Chaffin and Liz Roberts.

The family would like to thank Dr. Rosmarin and OhioHealth Hospice and the wonderful care she received from the entire staff at Liberty Nursing Home.

Calling hours will be from 10:00-11:00 am on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road.
