Isreal Lee Patterson

Isreal Lee Patterson, 73, of Mansfield passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. He was born on April 26, 1945 in Bessemer, Alabama. He was the son of Ernest Parker and Bessie Lee Patterson Allen.

Isreal worked at General Motors for over 34 years and was a veteran in the United States Army. He was a very talented pool player, had a love for cars, and greatly enjoyed singing, especially karaoke. He enjoyed watching football and baseball.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Patterson; seven children, Renethia Michelle (Leroy) Smith, Travis Lamond Patterson, LaQuita Rochelle (Brandon Jones) Patterson, Tasha Nicole Rogers, Jasmine Lynn Moorehouse (Daniel), Justin Lee Patterson (Malinda Johnson), and Brandon Lee Patterson; five grandchildren, Araya Lynn Patterson, Xavier Alexander Rowe, Coraline Nadine Patterson, Ayden Joseph Moorehouse, and Killian Presley Patterson; siblings, Rose Taylor, Wilson Allen, Evangelist Mary McDougal, Joann Finch, Robert Allen, Reginald Patterson, Stewart Patterson, Carol Parham, Terrance Allen and Tara Green; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; and a daughter, Chanda Faye Patterson.

Family and friends may visit from 1:00-2:00 pm on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with his sister, Evangelist Mary McDougal officiating.
