
Jackie 'Jack' Ray Pruitt, 78, of Lexington, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born February 13, 1929 in Oklahoma, he was the son of Charles and Bertha Ferguson Pruitt. He retired after more than 40 years with Ashland Oil Company. Mr. Pruitt was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Centralia, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Cole Pruitt; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Jeffrey Aungst of Navarre, and Julie and James Stalnaker of Venice, Florida; four grandchildren, Jennifer Michael Wise, Janie Jon Page, Jenna Stalnaker, and Jimmy Stalnaker; three great-grandchildren, Samantha Wise, Sean Wise, and Jordan Page; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Melba Pruitt of Bellville, Illinois; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bill Spindler of Huey, Illinois, and Ruth Ford of Bellville, Illinois; a host of nieces and nephews; and his toy poodle, Janna. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, James Ford.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Rev. Lon McSherley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Parkinson Foundation.
