Jaclyn lived most of her life in Florida and loved being on the water, boating and watching dolphins. After high school, she went on to get her Master’s degree in Education. Having a heart and passion for it, she dedicated her life to teaching. Jaclyn had taught for 20 years at Palm Beach County Schools and throughout her career has taught at Bear Lakes Middle School, Seminole Ridge High School, Odella Virtual School and was a substitute teacher at Madison and Crestview Schools. She was loved by the staff and her students and stayed in touch with many of them after graduation; she had a positive impact in the lives of many young people. Not only did she have a loving heart, but a giving heart and will always be remembered for her unique laugh.
Jaclyn cherished time spent with family and held each memory close to heart as she did her family. She always boasted about being “daddy’s little girl.” Jaclyn was a lover of animals and was known to pick up strays to care for them; if she could, she would have kept them all.
Jaclyn is survived by her spouse, Andrew Sitnek, whom she married on May 5, 2005; parents, John Swearingen and Ronna Kinsel; step mother, Jan Swearingen; children, Coral Norman-Sitnek, Bricyn Wylie-Sitnek and Ryeley Sitnek; brother, John Lance Swearingen; sisters-in-law, Heidi (Steve) Coots and Laura (Brad) Hopper; grandson, Ford Kenneth Sitnek; uncles, Rick (Debbi) Swearingen, Lyndon (Mary Sue) Kinsel and Wendell (Sharon) Kinsel; numerous nieces, nephews and beloved cousins; many beloved students; and many pets, especially her favorite dog, Conway.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Lana Sitnek; grandparents, Brick Swearingen and Lillie Swearingen, and Louie Kinsel and Marian Kinsel.
Private family services will be observed. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
