

Jacqueline Drouhard, 91, of Mansfield, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at Liberty Nursing Center of Mansfield. Born May 23, 1926 in Martins Ferry, Ohio she was the daughter of Stephen and May (Dever) Samms.
Jacqueline was raised in the Belmont County Children's Home, an orphanage in Tacoma, Ohio and married Alfred Drouhard on April 24, 1948. For a number of years, she worked at Reed's Department Store and Therm-O-Disc and retired at the age of 49. Following her retirement, she and Alfred resided in the Daytona Beach, Florida area. Jacqueline moved back to Mansfield in 2006. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, celebrating the Christmas holiday and her dogs but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Dan (Lynn) Drouhard and Tim (Jill) Drouhard; grandchildren, Tara Drouhard, Tim Drouhard (Erika Jensen), Kari (Elliott) Amos and Troy Drouhard (Emily Chelski); and her great grandchildren, Adrien Drouhard and Marley Amos.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Drouhard in April of 1976 and a brother, James Samms.
Friends may call from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
