
James A. Clement Sr., 69, of Mansfield, died at home Thursday, July 31, 2003 following an extended illness. Mr. Clement was born January 26, 1934 in Perrysburg, Ohio residing in the Mansfield area for the past 26 years. He owned and operated Jim's Singer Sewing Center on Lexington Ave. He was a 1952 graduate of Spencerville High School and a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. James was also a member of the Eagles, an avid bowler and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Marilyn Oakes Clement, whom he married, May 21, 1955; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Beverley Clement of Mansfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Moke Salyers of Johnsville, Ohio; and Janet and Gabriel Hoffman of Kettering, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Richard Hugel of Landeck, Ohio; and Barbara and Alfred Seffernick of Delphos, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcellus and Dorris Clement; one daughter, Rebecca Ochsenbein; and one granddaughter, Shawna Clement.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Friday August 1, 2003 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., with vigil services being held at 8:30 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial
will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Prince of Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice or the American Hearth Association.
