James E. Fields, 61, of Mansfield, died very unexpectedly Sunday, December 21, 2008 at MedCentral Shelby Hospital. Born May 12, 1947 in Mansfield, he was the son of Paris and Mary Artrip Fields. James retired from AK Steel after 32 years of service as an electrician. He was a member of Steel Workers #169, and the Moose Lodge #1610 in Port Clinton. James always put his family first and enjoyed fishing, and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Reva Lykins Fields; mother, Mary Fields of Shelby; two children, James Fields, Jr. of Winter Haven, Florida, and Debbie Ken Kelley of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Joshua, Jeromie, and Jonathon Kelley, and Justin and Ashley Fields; and great-grandson, Robert Bowman. He was preceded in death by his father, Paris Fields.
