

James Joseph Hahn, 83, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 5, 2011 at Lexington Court Care Center. Born December 12, 1927 in Mansfield, he was the son of the late George and Lorraine D. (Uhlich) Hahn.
Jim worked for Hahn Exterminating since 1945, purchasing the business from his father and along with his brother, became the owner and operator, retiring in 2006. He was a very caring, supportive man and loved his grandchildren dearly. Jim was a member of both the Ohio and National Pest Control Associations. He enjoyed boating on Lake Erie and held a State of Ohio Charter License since 1972. Jim served as past Commander of the Mansfield Power Squadron in 1965. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by two sons, Christian G. Hahn and Joseph (Allison) Hahn; daughter, Ivy Ann Ervin; four grandchildren, Joscelyn, Dane and Autumn Ervin and Sarah Hahn; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith (Wyatt) Hahn; brother, Dean Hahn; and grandson, Luke Ervin.
Friends and family may visit from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Ron Daley and Rev. Paul Lintern officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
