
James M. Leadingham, 66, of Mansfield died from cancer at his home Thursday, May 24, 2001. He was born May 6, 1935, in Grahn, Kentucky, to Mackie Donald and Nellie Brown Leadingham. He retired from Ohio Brass working as a general laborer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He belonged to VFW Post 3494.
He is survived by six daughters and five sons-in-law, Patricia and Bob Broughton of Cincinnati, Lisa and Claude Allen Steagall, Lynn and Tom Bargo, Shanna and Bill Lewis, Angie Leadingham; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Debbie Leadingham all of Mansfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gomez and Barb Leadingham of Raceland, KY, and Lloyd and Gail Leadingham of Liliburn, GA; nine sisters and their spouses, Glenna and Gene Evans of Olive Hill, KY, Alberta and Tommy Craycraft of Lexington, KY, Donna and Jewett Owens of Emerson, KY, Alice and Rodney Kegley of Mapleton, GA, Sharon and Don Frazier of Olive Hill, KY, Connie Lemon of Danville, OH, Shelia and George Kiser of Olive Hill, KY, Rita and Clifford Roe of Olive Hill, KY, and Vickie and Bill Mosier of Danville, OH; one brother-in-law Kenneth Stevens of Olive Hill, KY; thirteen grandchildren, Derek, Miranda, Kristan, Joshua, Brittany, Kayla, Matthew, Deonte', Daniel, Ashley, Dallas and Brandi; one step-grandchild, Debra; devoted friends Nancy and Jessica Martin;. His wife, Marcella Parker Leadingham, parents, Mackie Donald Leadingham and Nellie Brown Leadingham, three grandchildren, Ryan, Kenadee, and Marchelle; one sister, Berleda Stevens all preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday, May 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26 at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Lowell Carroll.
