Mrs. Larsen was beautiful inside and out.  She loved you all so much and we got to see that firsthand while Chris and Katie were in school during our St. Peter's years together.  She was the perfect advocate for her children, knowing when to intervene and knowing when to let them handle life's hiccups on their own.  She told us to call her Janie and we so appreciated her friendly, kind support of everything at school.  She was soft in the best of ways.  Soft does not mean weak.  Soft means compassionate, understanding, wise, and discriminating.  Her demeanor was always pleasant.  Janie was an exemplary Christian and loved being a wife and mother.  Mr. Larsen, you and all your wonderful family are very much in our prayers.  We are grateful for the opportunity to have known Janie and all of you.  We wish you love and comfort in the days going forward. So sorry to hear about Janie! Thinking of you and your family. My condolences!

My dear friend Janie will remain in my heart and my memories forever. I met Janie through my sweet friend Beverly Vietti. We began sharing a group friendship by attending school Mass when our children were younger. After Mass, we would go out for breakfast and this grew into a lasting friendship. Soon, we added Chari Alesch and the three of us continued to share special gatherings even when our children became adults. Janie is so dear to all of us and we will miss her beautiful spirit, her laughter, and caring heart. My favorite memory of Janie is when she would bring the biggest most spectacular gifts for all of us! She loved Christmas and giving us beautiful gifts wrapped in the most adorable wrappings. I believe Janie wanted to see our surprised faces and make us feel special because she loved us so much. I will cherish those gifts and the joy it gave her heart to give them. I am so thankful that the Lord brought Janie into my life, for she is the most beautiful gift wrapped with so much love which she couldn’t wait to share with all her friends and family. May God bless my dear friend Janie with the peace of heaven and the grace of everlasting life, love and happiness
