
Janice Marie Runyan Dickson, age 64, of Mansfield, died Saturday evening at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Dickson was born February 23, 1938 in Eagleville, Ohio and was raised in New Lyme, Ohio and has been an area resident for the past 36 years. Mrs. Dickson was a member of Mayflower Congregational Church; she graduated from New Lyme-Deming High School and then attended banking school. Mrs. Dickson enjoyed entertaining, cooking, her soap opera's, and most of all loved spending quality time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas O. Dickson of Mansfield, one son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Stephanie Dickson of Yukon, OK, one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Dan Schiffer of Shelby, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Chad Wilford, Dustin Dickson, Samantha Dickson, Lacey Dickson, Nathan Dickson, Michelle Schiffer Gundrum, Wendy Schiffer, Michael Schiffer: and one great granddaughter, Leah Gundrum, numerous nieces and nephews, two brothers and sister-in-laws, Calvin Dean and Jody Runyan of New Lyme, Ohio, Norman Nelson and Carole Runyan of Lake Gilford, Ohio, one sister, Wilma Elizabeth Herndon of Jefferson, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Aletha Gray Runyan, one sister, Velma Runyan, one brother, William Runyan.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday December 17, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in The Mayflower Congregational Church conducted by her pastor Rev. Dr. Gary L. Wilson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
