Jeanne Hunt

Jeanne Hunt, 85, of Crestline, died November 4, 2015. Born June 19, 1930 in Crestline, she was the daughter of Dr. Edward C. and Iva (Shires) Brandt. Jeanne graduated from Crestline High School. She married James Hunt and they lived in Ontario together until his death in 1987. Jeanne then returned to Crestline. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she helped cook and served many church dinners. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and loved flowers, tending to her yard, and reading.

Surviving are her daughters, Vickie (Terry) Leatherow of Ontario and Kathy (Tom) Sipes of Galion; nine grandchildren; twenty eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Edward and Dorothy Brandt of Westerville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold and Marilyn Hunt of Ontario; brother-in-law, Bill Funk of Florida; several nieces and nephews; and two half sisters, Rebecca and Roberta.

Along with her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, James Hunt; daughter, Mary Schenian; brother, Richard Brandt; sister, Jacqueline Funk; and brother-in-law, Richard Hunt.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, Crestline. Private burial will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
