
Jeffrey L. Molyet, age 52, of Mansfield, died Tuesday morning from complications of heart disease at his residence. Mr. Molyet was born in Fremont, Ohio on June 19, 1951 and has been a Mansfield area resident since 1981. Mr. Molyet was a long time partner with Brown, Bemiller, Murray and McIntyre, and was a member of First English Lutheran Church and served on the church council. Mr. Molyet is a graduate of The Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Mr. Molyet was active in The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Richland County, served on numerous boards including Trustee of the Board of The Ohio State University at Mansfield, President of the Children's Theatre Foundation, Richland Academy of the Arts and Planned Parenthood of North Central Ohio. Mr. Molyet is the President of the Richland County Law Library Association and past Secretary of the Richland County Bar Association and is a member of the Ohio State and Richland County Bar Associations. Mr. Molyet also taught English and coached football at Fremont St. Joseph's High School and Buckeye Valley High School in Delaware, Ohio. Mr. Molyet was especially proud that his children are attending The Ohio State University.
Surviving are his wife, Diane Stuckey Molyet who was formerly of Green Springs, Ohio, two sons, Adam Jeffrey Molyet, Andrew Fischer Molyet both of Mansfield, Ohio, one daughter, Allison Rita Molyet also of Manfield, Ohio; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael J. and Elaine L. Molyet of Painesville, Ohio, and Bryan A. and Eileen S. Molyet of Orange City, Florida, one nephew and spouse, Jason J. and Ann-Marie Molyet of Mansfield; two aunts and uncle, Mary Francis Mehling of Delaware, Ohio and William and Patricia Molyet of Fremont, Ohio. Surviving also are cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Molyet was preceded in death by his parents, Donald J. and Rita Rose Ochs Molyet and an infant daughter Sarah Katherine Molyet.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday, July 3, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be at the First English Lutheran Church on Saturday July 5, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Andrew Jones and Rev. Dale Schaefer. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be held in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First English Lutheran Church New Millennium Fund or Richland County OSU Scholarship Fund. If so desired memorial contributions may be made for a scholarship fund for his children.
