

He attended Mansfield Senior High School and worked at Crane Plumbing. He was fun-loving, the life of the party and enjoyed life to the fullest. His beloved dog, Shadow, was constantly by his side. Jerry enjoyed being outdoors fishing and wild mushroom hunting. His artistic side was evident in his drawings and he was a tattoo artist as well. Jerry was a member of Hayes Road Baptist Church in Canal Winchester, Ohio.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Green of Mansfield; a sister, Tammy Sand of Mansfield; aunts, Betty (Frank) Stanley of Wise, VA, Lois Bevins of NE Maryland, Christine (Duane) Meade of Wise, VA, Evelyn Green of Mansfield and Peggy Gentry of Wise, VA; uncles, Joe (Anna) Green of Wise, VA and Ephriam (Debbie) Gentry of Pound, VA; a niece, Courtney Sand of Mansfield; two nephews, Jarrad (Samatha) Sand of Newark and Robert Owens of Eugene, OR; great-niece, Akira Sand; numerous cousins and other relatives and friends; and long-time family friends, Luella Harrod, Skylar Garris, Ron Paramore, Greg Bettis, Ron Hollinger and John Rose.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Robert Green; sister, Mary Frances "Babe" Green; maternal grandparents, Willie and Bernice Gentry; paternal grandmother, Annabelle Green; and two cousins, Joyce Mounts and Judy Ferrell.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the home of his good friend, Luella Harrod, 1246 Lenox Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019. Please bring a covered dish to share while we celebrate Jerry's life. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
