Jerry Skeese

Jerry Lee Skeese, 49 of 2724 Enterprise Ave. Dayton, Ohio died Sunday January 21, 2001 at Miami Valley Hospital unexpectedly. Mr. Skeese was born April 9, 1951 in Mansfield residing in the area until 1984 when he moved to Dayton. He was a Police Officer working on the Dayton Police Force since 1986. He was a member of St. Mathew Lutheran Church before moving to Dayton, Ohio. Jerry was active in the Dayton Police Department Search Recovery Dive Team and Captain John C. Post F.O.P. Lodge #44.

Surviving are his mother, Ruth E. Harbaugh Skeese of Mansfield; one son, Jered Skeese and one daughter, Kellie Skeese both of Beaver Creek, Ohio; one sister, Susan K. Cox and her fiancé, Jerry Rafferty both of Mansfield; one brother, Russell ''Rusty'' Skeese of Mansfield; uncle and aunt, Richard and Donna Harbaugh of Bucyrus, Ohio; aunt, Marilynn Skeese of Mansfield and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence E. Skeese.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Wednesday January 24, 2001 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 25, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to John C. Post FOP Lodge #44.
