Jessie Arlene Coleman, age 78, passed away late Wednesday evening, October 10, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center in Boardman, Ohio. She was born April 23, 1934 in Grayson, Kentucky and was an area homemaker most of her life. Jessie loved her flower gardens.
She is survived by three daughters, all of Mansfield, Brenda Coleman, Amelia Coleman and Miranda Bradley; two grandchildren, Serena Bradley of Columbus and Terie Winfrey of Mansfield; four brothers and sisters, Estill “Bud” Fields, Goldie Workman and Linda Mobley, all of Mansfield, Elizabeth Carroll of Olive Hill, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elihue and Ada (Walker) Fields, and eight brothers and sisters.
At Jessie’s request, she wishes for people to attend the services dressed casually. Friends and family may visit from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Phil Green officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
