Joann M. Muntan

She was born on October 7, 1941, to Jacob and Katherine Schneider. A 1959 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, Joann went right to work at Lumberman's Insurance before co-owning and operating Muntan's Drive Thru. She then left her mark as the first executive housekeeper at the downtown Holiday Inn in 1984, where she retired after 25 faithful years.

Joann was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ where she once sang in the choir and volunteered every month with the Clothes Closet for needy families.Joann loved her family and cherished the time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Eric Muntan of Aventura, FL; grandson, Jason (Jamie) Lemery of Crestline; granddaughter, Susan Lemery of Mansfield; six great-grandchildren, Lexya, Logan, Adelaide, Lucas, McKenna and Landrey; and finally by her soul mate and caregiver, David Odson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, William Muntan; daughter, Debra Muntan; and great-granddaughter, Audrey Lemery.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 31, 2020, at 10:45 a.m. in Mansfield Cemetery. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
