John E. Gillum, 60, of South Point, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 22, 2016, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born September 22, 1955, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Everett Lee Gillum, Sr. and Dorothy Evelyn (Rice) Gillum.
John was a carpenter and electrician by trade. He enjoyed fishing and NASCAR racing.
He is survived by two daughters of Mansfield; a brother, Everett (Debbie) Gillum, Jr. of South Point, Ohio; girlfriend, Brinda Fields of South Point, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Pastor Phil Green of Real Life Community Church will conduct the service which follows at 3:00 p.m.
