
John Jackson, age 68, of Mansfield, Ohio, died unexpectedly at his home Thursday. Mr. Jackson was born March 13, 1935 in Mansfield and has been a life-long resident. Mr. Jackson was retired from National Seating where he was a pattern maker and was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church. Mr. Jackson attended Mansfield Senior High and was a member of Sons of Herman and he enjoyed woodworking. Mr. Jackson was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are two sons, John Bardos of Dublin, Ohio; Darren Jackson of Mansfield; two daughters, Nora Field of Newark, Ohio and Gina Hannum of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Rachel, Giselle, Whitney, Nicholas, Cody and Cassie: one brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Mary Lou Jackson of Mansfield, his former wife, Sondra Laney of Mansfield, two sisters-in-law, Thelma Jackson of Shelby and Carol Jackson of Mansfield and his Special friends, Dominic and Sandy Grillo of Mansfield, Ohio. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, James and Catherine Zias Jackson, AKA Bardos, two brothers, George of Mansfield and Jim of Shelby and one sister, Bessie Clay of Mansfield.
Friends may call at The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Tuesday, October 7, 2003 from 6 to 8 p.m. Following cremation his cremains will be inurned in Greece. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
