John E. Northrup, 87, of Bellville, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at his residence. Born December 14, 1919, in Cardington, he was the son of John and Uree Mann Northrup. He retired from AK Steel. He was a member of the Amvets and American Legion. John enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and playing cards.
Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Miller of Brookings, OR and Debra Dennis Hinkle of Perrysville; a son, Rick Arthur of Bellville; four grandchildren, Dennis Misti Northrup of Bellville, Holly Miller of Brookings, OR, Anita Reid of Beckley, WV, and Bill Candi Rannigan of Lucas; six great grandchildren, Madison Miller of Brookings, OR, Adam Alicia Sipe and David Brei Atterson, all of Beckley, WV, James Jacki Atterson of FL, Nick Cox and Molli Rannigan, both of Lucas; two great-great grandchildren, Tanner and Presley Sipes of Beckley, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean Fredrick Northrup; and six brothers and sisters, Carl and Fred Northrup, Ella Hurrell, Teresa Bishop, Hazel Cramer and Edna Pain.
Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2007, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors.
