Jonas E. Raber

Jonas E. Raber, 78, of Fredericktown, Ohio, died May 7, 2017 at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Ohio following a brief illness. He was born in Holmes County, Ohio on December 4, 1938 to Eli A. and Mattie (Mast) Raber.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

He married Susan Miller on May 26, 1960 who survives. He is also survived by his children, Eli (Emma) Raber of the home, Atlee (Edna) Raber of Fredericktown, Ohio, Paul (Mary) Raber of Macomb, Illinois, Raymond (Anna) Raber, Reuben (Anna) Raber, Jonas (Anna) Raber, Ivan (Fannie) Raber all of Hillsboro, Ohio, Henry (Esther) Raber, Nelson (Katie) Raber both of Blanchard, Michigan, Verna (Henry) Yoder of Mt. Gilead, Ohio and Erma (Monroe) Miller of Fredericktown, Ohio; 99 grandchildren and 69 great grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters, Emma (Mervin) Shetler, Anna (Levi) Yoder both of Surgarcreek, Ohio, Mary (Ervin) Schlabach and Effa (John) Miller both of Millersburg, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three stillborn sons; one stillborn daughter; nine grandchildren; one brother; and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the residence, 7150 County Road 22, Fredericktown, Ohio with Jonas Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the Troyer Cemetery.
