

There will be a Celebration of Life and Remembrance of Joe Humphrey on August 8, 2021, from 2:00 to 5:00 at Westbrook Country Club, 1098 Springmill St., Mansfield, Ohio 44906. Joe, of Mansfield, passed away December 10, 2020. The family looks forward to sharing memories and stories about Joe and hopes that those in attendance will bring a story or two that captures the warmth, charm and kindness with which Joe touched so many.
Joe was a proud Ohio State Highway Patrolman, who later managed Lantz Mills and the bar operations at Clear Fork Ski Area. He was passionate about his support of Friendly House, where he served as Board President for many years, and loved playing cards with friends.
Joe’s wide range of interests allowed him to share time and mingle with a wide range of different people, highlighting his knack for connecting with folks from all walks of life; always humble and earnest in his care for and appreciation of others.
Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edith; children, Scott (Lisa) Humphrey, Joanne Humphrey, and Lynn (Will) Timmons; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Elizabeth, Ryan, Claire, Leah, Christopher and John; sisters, Anita Fister and Chris Baker; close friends and brothers-in-law, David (Gretchen) Black and Gordon (Agnes) Black; and many very dear friends. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth; brother, James; and sisters, Beverly Knopic and Patricia Frye.
