
Joseph A. Kirschenheiter, 81, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Monday, April 24, 2006, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born March 6, 1925, in Lefor, North Dakota, he was the son of George and Eva Bergesh Kirschenheiter. Joe retired from Tappan in 1986 after 23 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army and was also a member of the Sons of Herman.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Theresa Cianci Kirschenheiter of Mansfield; two sons, Thomas Kirschenheiter and Donald Kirschenheiter and his companion, Laura Bogner, all of Mansfield; two daughters, Peggy Rosborough of Mansfield and Patricia Kirschenheiter and her husband, Timothy Hornis of Delaware, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Kirschenheiter of Baltimore, Maryland, Brian and Jessica Kirschenheiter, both of Mansfield; a brother, Bernard Kirschenheiter of Dickenson, North Dakota; a sister, Lena Nauman of Dickenson, North Dakota; two sisters-in-law, Maryann Disbro and Frances and her husband, Kenneth Herschner, all of Mansfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in Ohio and North Dakota. His parents preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, conducted by Dr. Gary Wilson. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
