Joyce Cora Wendland

Joyce was born on April 17, 1942, in Richland County, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Cora (Hatfield) Larimore. Throughout her life, she was known for her dedication to caring for others, both as a cook and as a compassionate in-home nurse to many patients. Her generous spirit extended beyond people to animals, having lovingly cared for several dogs and cats over the years.

A woman of many interests, Joyce found joy in crocheting, solving puzzles, and preparing home-cooked meals for those she loved. She had a special fondness for travel and often took to the open road, finding peace and adventure in driving across the countryside.

Joyce was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mansfield and a lifelong member of the local VFW, where she found fellowship and connection with her community.

She is survived by her stepson, Loren (Karen) Wendland; grandchildren, Scott (Heather) Wendland, Howard Wendland, and Nickole Strickland; great-grandchildren, Bradley Wendland, Kayla Couch, Trevor Couch, and Alex Wendland; brothers, Charles Larimore and Jim Larimore; and sisters, Dorothy Bonin, Arlene Stats, and Sharon Yoder.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Wendland; stepson, Russell Wendland; sisters, Margaret Isley, Wanda Adams, Anna Lea, and Ruby Opal; and her parents, Joseph and Cora Larimore.

In keeping with Joyce's wishes, there will be no services. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
