
Juan Nolasco, 85, of Mansfield, died early Monday morning, September 26, 2005, at SCCI Hospital after an extended illness. Born May 6, 1920, in San Louis Potosi, Mexico, to Jose and Micaela Cordova Nolasco. Juan was a dedicated and hardworking man who loved his family and will be missed by all. He retired on January 28, 1994, after 35 years of service in the foundry at Ideal Electric and had also worked 20 years for the railroad. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marie Nolasco; two sons, Tomas Cathy Nolasco of Reston, Va., Juan Cheryl Nolasco, Jr. of Mansfield; four daughters, Micaela Mike Curtis, Juanita Mark Carper, Linda Nolasco, Mercedes Marc Smith, all of Mansfield; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Cecilo Nolasco; sister, Mercedes Nolasco of San Louis Potosi, Mexico; and close cousin, Aurelia Manzo of Patterson, Cal. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and a grandson, Michael Nolasco.
Friends may call Wednesday, September 28, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 NW 9th Ave., Bob Hope Road, Miami, Florida, 33136-1494.
