June Rice

She retired from Ohio Textile Products where she was a supervisor in 1979. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the local AARP and was a longtime volunteer at various organizations including the Rehab Center. She enjoyed knitting, having made hats for the hospital newborns and the Richland Pregnancy Center and also enjoyed playing cards and bus tours.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Selman of Blairsville, GA and Janet (Alvin) Beer of Ontario; a son, Walter W. (Linda) Rice of Perrysville; grandchildren, Sally (Linzie) Oney of Blairsville, Karla Stricker of Ontario, Donald Rice of Fayetteville, NC and Tonya (Joe) Johnson of Mansfield; step grandchildren, Amy Reed of Perrysville and Andy (Jennifer) Huffman of Loudonville; five great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David W. "Wayne" Rice; a great granddaughter, Brittany Eater and a son-in-law, Yusuf Selman.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at Mansfield Cemetery conducted by Rev. Robert Stull.
