

Karen Sue Booth Smith, 52, of Mansfield died unexpectedly Saturday, November 27, 2004 at her home. Karen was born September 7, 1952 in Crestline to Monroe Taylor & Marjorie Keller Slayton and has lived in Mansfield area most of her life. She had worked at Cole Tool & Die as an inspector and loved to bake, enjoyed collecting Indians, angels and Coca Cola memorabilia. She also loved music and playing bingo but most of all she enjoyed spoiling her loving grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy & Donnie Cameron of Tenn. And Malissha Wyatt of Mansfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Stanley & Christy Stamper Jr. of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Nikita, Jhan Michael, Austin, Dacotah and Michael; Mother, Marjorie Slayton of Mansfield; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie & James Botjer of Lexington, Kathy & Jeff Clay and Sue and Tim Horner, all of Mansfield; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve & Joyce Slayton of Mansfield, Johnny & Lana Slayton Jr. of Cleveland, Timmy & Robin Slayton of Mansfield and Tommy & Marjorie Slayton of Crooksville; numerous nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Monroe Taylor Booth, stepfather who raised her, John William Slayton and one sister, Monna Joyce Booth.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 1 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, conducted by Rev. Dale V. Adkins. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
