

Karen Tackett, 70, of Mansfield, died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Hospice House in Ashland surrounded by her loving family. Born October 22, 1943 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Forest and E. Grace (Au) Zellner.
She worked at Therm-O-Disc and enjoyed crafts, knitting and crocheting. Karen loved making outfits and tatting crosses for family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Tackett of Mansfield; three sons, Albert Tackett, III of Canton, OH, Phillip (Melonie) Tackett of Mansfield and Tommy Tackett of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Gregory Tackett, Joyce Anna Domabyl, Amanda Lynn Tackett and Kori Tackett; one great grandson; a brother, Gary (Nancy) Zellner of Mansfield; two sisters-in-law, Cheryl Zellner of Mansfield and Brenda Keller of Mt. Vernon, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Karen married her high school sweetheart May 22, 1964, Albert F. Tackett, Jr. and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James and Kenneth Zellner.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of North Central Ohio for their excellent care and loving concern for Karen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Chaplain Sandra Lauer. Burial will follow in Windsor Park Cemetery. Friends may call one hour to the service, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
