Katharina Reiter

Katharina Bohland Reiter, 90, of Mansfield died early Tuesday morning, June 4, 2002 at Woodlawn Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born September 7, 1911 in Mramorak, Yugoslavia to Jacob and Margaret Baumung Bohland. Mrs. Reiter was an area resident since 1952. She was a housewife who enjoyed being with her family and attended Diamond Hills Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ludwig and Rose Reiter and Hermann Reiter, all of Mansfield; two daughters and a son-in-law, Karolina Hoffmann of Mansfield and Joanna and Philip Kampf of Huntington, New York; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a special friend, Gloria Sims of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Christian Reiter; daughter, Margaret Richter; parents, Jacob and Margaret Bohland; sisters, Kristina Beck, Julia Knapp, Susie Stropko; and brothers, Jacob, Martin, Peter, Philip and Adam Bohland.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday, June 6 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Diamond Hills Baptist Church, Friday at 10:30 and will be conducted by Rev. Christopher Thomas. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Diamond Hills Baptist Church.
