
Katherine M. Hunter Lemon, 85, of Mansfield died Monday afternoon, July 30, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield after a brief illness. She was born May 25, 1916, in Brandon, Ohio, to Charles and Maude Chopson Hunter. She was a member of East Hills Presbyterian Church for 50 years. Mrs. Lemon was a member of Roseland Grange for 60 years, and Harpcrest Community Center Women's Club for 50 years. She retired from Therm-o-Disc at age 62 after 17 years of service.
She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Ron E. and Martha Lemon, Robert A. Lemon, Rodney G. and Linda Lemon, and Stanley R. and Jennifer Lemon; twelve grandchildren, Kelly E. Kirshenstiner, Ronald G. Lemon, Jason S. Adkins, Julie M. Adkins, Michelle Y. Lemon, Tracey A. Satterfield, Randall S. Lemon, Holly L. Lemon, Abbey J. Kanzig, Annie J. Lemon, Nicholas J.F. Lemon, and Samuel P. Lemon; five great-grandchildren, Keely Kirshenstiner, Kaylynn Kirshenstiner, Justin G. Lemon, Alexis K. Lemon, and Jessica L. Adkins; and one brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Mary Hunter of Dadeville, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Foster E. Lemon in 1988, parents, Charles and Maude Hunter, daughter-in-law, Sharon K. Lemon, sister, Dorothy Atherton and two brothers, Earl and Ray Hunter.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday, August 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services which will be held at East Hills Presbyterian Church Friday at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Dr. Betty Sykes and Rev. Cloyd E. Kress. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
