
Kathryn E. Brubach Ammeter, 86, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Hospice House in Ashland. Born July 17, 1920 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Keller Grassel. An area homemaker her entire life, she attended Resurrection Parish. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards with her Bridge club, and was a member of Possum Run Golf Course. Kathryn loved her family and was a wizard at crossword puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Larry Stimpert of Ashland, Kay Utiss-Brandenburg of Mansfield; son, Fred Lori Brubach of Mansfield; daughter-in-law, Donna Brubach; grandchildren, Fred, Larry and Rick Stimpert, Stephanie Foreman, Mark Utiss, Mike, Robert, Benjamin Brubach, and Katie McClenathan, Kirstin Brubach and Erin Anderson; twenty-six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Margaret Grassel and Esther Brubach; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her first husband, Fred Brubach in 1981; second husband, Paul Ammeter; son, Michael F. Brubach; parents; two sisters, Rose and Teresa; and four brothers, John, Pete, Joe and Al.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Pastor Gloria Loughman. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio or Olivesburg United Methodist Church.
