
Kimberly 'Kim' Ann Jaynes, 44, of Mansfield died unexpectedly October 25, 2003 at her home. Kim went home to be with the Lord Saturday following a short illness. She was born September 30, 1959 in Mansfield to Beverly Daniels and Sidney Puckett. She has been a resident of Mansfield all her life and enjoyed decorating her home, both inside and outside. Kim was a very caring and compassionate person who was full of energy, which she showered on her family and friends. Kim was a 1978 graduate of Madison High School. She was employed for 22 years as a librarian at Newman Elementary School and made reading and learning full of adventure for her students. She was a member of Mansfield Freewill Baptist Church on Laver Road.
She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Michael Alan Jaynes who was her high school sweetheart; daughter, Mandy Ann Jaynes and her fiancé, Ross Copeland; twin daughters, Brooke Emily and Brittany Sue Jaynes, both at home; parents, Beverly and Sidney Puckett; brothers and sister-in-law, Dave and Diane Puckett and Robert; god-daughter, Bronwyn Hayes; mother-in-law, Janet Sue Jaynes; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Darrell and Crystal Jaynes; a close uncle, Harvey Letts; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Olive and Clem Baker and Lessie and Ronald Puckett; father-in-law, Paul Jaynes; and sister-in-law, Susan Jaynes.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Tuesday, October 28 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Mansfield Freewill Baptist Church on Laver Road, conducted by her former pastor, Wayne Keith and Pastor Michael Weaver. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Olivesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Library Fund at Newman Elementary School or the Susan L. Jaynes Memorial Scholarship Fund.
