

Larry was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1959-1963. He retired from General Motors at the age of 51. After retirement, Larry spent 15 years in his audio/video store, repairing televisions, VCR rentals and electronic repairs. A man of honor, he was always willing to offer a hand to anyone needing his help. Larry knew the value of laughter in a person's life and had an excellent sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting, watching football and baseball, and was a collector of guns, pocket watches, and pocket knives. He was a member of the Salvation Army for 54 years, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Shiloh Lodge #544 Free and Accepted Masons, Valley of Columbus, and UAW Local #549.
Larry leaves behind his wife of whom he married on May, 2, 1964, Beverly "Jeannie" Ferguson; son, Benjamin (Lisa) Ferguson; grandchildren, Jessica (Bryan) Dawson, Luke, Joel, Caleb and Hannah Ferguson, Anthony and Marcus (Kiesha) Johnson, and Amber Stanford; great-grandchildren, Lily Anne, Brody, Myla, Jay'Veonta, Avy' Onna, Malachi, Ah'zarriah, Kimar, Markeis, and Ky' Marious; a niece, Shelly (Craig) Eddy; and a great-niece, Camryn Eddy. He was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Ronald Ferguson; parents, Willis and Opal Ferguson and Florence and Dewey Peyton; brother, Glen "Ron" (Patricia) Ferguson; and granddaughter, Katy Jo Ferguson.
Family and friends may visit from 4:00-7:00 pm. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S Diamond Street, where a Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 pm. Captain Melissa Betts will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the funeral home where military honors will be performed.. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Park. The Salvation Army was near and dear to Larry's heart, please make memorial contributions to the Salvation Army, 47 S Main Street Mansfield, OH 44902.
