
Leonard 'Fred' Frost, 71 of 424 Lee Lane died January 18, 2000 at home following an extended illness. Mr. Frost was born April 16, 1928 in Mansfield being a life long resident. He was a 1947 graduate of Madison High School, retired from Dearman Transportation after 31 years of service and also had worked at Ohio Brass for seven years. He was an active member of St. Timothy Evangelical Lutheran Church and American Legion Post #16. Mr. Frost was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Fred enjoyed gardening, building model airplanes and camping.
Surviving is his wife Janalee A. Dunham Frost, his high school sweetheart, whom he married June 17, 1950; four daughters and sons-in-law, Holly & Edward Eckstein of Mansfield; Dianne & Lee Owens of Uniontown, Ohio; Penny & Rick Tamburrino of Olathe, Kansas; and Amy & Bob Solon of Rochester, Minnesota; fourteen grandchildren who he was very proud of, Chris, Randy, Mary and Kathy Peters; Ben, Andy, Leanne and Molly Owens; Heather, Hollie, Kevin and Kara Tamburrino; and Robert & Caroline Solon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard F. & Thelma Parcel Frost; and one sister, Mary Jane Frost Garver.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Friday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Bonnie Peltomaa and Pastor Bob Solon.
