
Lillian Virginia Campbell, 79, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at her home after a long illness. Born August 1, 1930 in Fitch, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Roy and Ardath Butler Gilliam. A very kind woman, she was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Lillian enjoyed flowers, gardening, canning food, and traveling. Her family will miss her greatly.
She is survived by her husband, William Campbell; her son, Keith Campbell; her daughters, Angie Campbell, Patricia Campbell, Gail Hershner, and Linda Campbell; granddaughters, Amanda Campbell, Jodi Campbell, and Kristi Christian; grandson, Keith A. Campbell; son-in-law, Douglas Hershner; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Campbell; and grandson-in-law, Michael Christian. She is also survived by many brothers and sisters, Earl Gilliam, Randolph Gilliam, Olive Masters, Vernus Miller, Helen Gilliam, Aldine Burton, Madeline Morgan, Audrey Fetterhoff, Kenny Gilliam, Robert Gilliam, Sue Sutherland, Wayne Gilliam, Wanda Hardyman, and Don Gilliam. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Carl, Herold, and Jerry Gilliam, Norma Ball, and Geneva Gilliam.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Oak Grove Memorial Park in Lexington. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice.
