
Linda M. Chapman, age 60, of Mansfield died Saturday evening at MedCentral/Mansfield following a brief illness. Miss Chapman was born October 13, 1947 in Marion, Ohio to Orra and Betty Baston Chapman. She was employed by Burner Systems for 32 ½ years as a spot welder. She was a very active member at First English Lutheran Church where she was a member of Lydia Circle and Global Mission, and also a member of the Ohio Association of the Deaf and the Mansfield Deaf Club. She also served as a Saturday Night acolyte. Linda really loved playing bingo, photography & taking pictures. She enjoyed watching and collecting Disney movies and lighthouses, as well as playing Tetris.
Surviving are her beloved cats, Dee and Anaki; one niece, Jacqueline Champion & her husband BJ Demuth of Mansfield; a brother-in-law, William & Grace Champion of Mansfield; Jackie's mother-in-law, Jackie Poe of Sandusky, and her friend David Lyle of Mansfield; Jacqueline's daughters, Morrigan Azriel Marie Champion, and Lillian Kay Champion; and numerous aunts, and cousins in New England. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Paula K. Chapman-Champion; two cats, Kali & Isis; and her nephew, Ian Champion.
Friends may call Wednesday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at First English Lutheran Church, 53 Park Ave. West. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the church conducted by Rev. Cloyd Kress. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
