Linda Joyce Perkins, 57, of Mansfield, died Monday, July 2, 2007 at her home. Born July 16, 1949 in Pikeville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Martha Britt Greer. She worked as a teacher at Mansfield City Schools. Mrs. Perkins was a member of the National Education Association and was very active with Mansfield City Schools, where she enjoyed teaching math. She enjoyed spending time with her grandson and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Perkins of Mansfield; mother, Martha Greer of Mansfield; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Phil Dollish of Mansfield; grandson, Zachary Dollish; three brothers, James and Johnny 'Larry' Greer, both of Mansfield, and Harold Greer of Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eskil and Nellie Britt of Mansfield; and aunt, Ann Imhoff.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Episcopal Church conducted by Rector Emeritus David S. Sipes. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
