Lloyd Moore

Lloyd "Doug" Moore, 54, of Ontario passed away August 15, 2014. Born May 13, 1960 in Elryia, he was the son of Hobert and Wilma (Lane) Moore. Doug graduated from Keystone High School in LaGrange, OH in 1978. A quiet natured man, Doug was a dedicated family man with a great sense of humor. He worked for AVI Food Systems as a delivery driver as well as being co-owner of Moore Concessions for 14 years. In his free time, he enjoyed watching football and basketball and was a die hard Steelers fan. He also enjoyed internet games, shooting his 22, listening to classic rock music, and watching NASCAR. Doug was also a talented photographer.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Rebecca Sipe Moore of Ontario; son, Benjamin Vanasdale of Ontario; daughter, Rebecca (Brenton) Kovacs of Lexington; grandchildren, Brianna Briggs and Odin Behling; sisters, Virginia (Fred) Fairchild, Maxine Moore, both of Ashland, Audrey (Rick) Ridenour of Savannah, Rose (Jerry) Stalnaker, Kathy (Jeff) Wallbrown, both of Normantown, WV, and Patty (Glenn) Easterday of Burbank, OH; brother, Terry (Sue) Moore of Normantown, WV; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James R. Moore; sister, Laura M. Coil, and brother-in-law, Burt Coil.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Dan Dickman. An additional hour of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
