Lloyd Moore

Lloyd Moore, 85, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 10, 2010 at Liberty Nursing Center of Mansfield. Born August 15, 1924 in Black Lick, Pennsylvania, he was the son of William and Mary Ewing Moore. He retired from Westinghouse Corp. after 43 years of service. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and camping. Until his illness prevented his attendance, he worshiped at Ontario Free Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending hours in his garden and the companionship of his dogs. Lloyd was an amazing father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by sons, Darrell Phyllis Moore of Troy, Marc Joan Moore of Mansfield; daughter, Karen Kiley of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jennifer Harold Greene, Christi Clow, Larry Sue Gerhart, Jr., all of Mansfield; great-grandchildren, Anthony Greene, Tyler Clow, Kelsie Clow and Ashley Gerhart; brothers, Adam Kathy Moore of Mansfield, John Linda Moore of Centre, AL; sister, Ruth Ron Mabry of Mansfield, Dorothy Taylor of Blairsville, PA, Arlene Bill Giordan of Latrobe, PA, Carol Ann Terry Dilts of Norwalk, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death in 2003 by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn B. Grozdanoff Moore, whom he married July 26, 1947; brother, Carl Moore; and his parents.

Friends may visit from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Robert O'Brian. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
