Lorraine Normant

Lorraine T. Normant, 82, was taken home by her Lord early Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the home of her granddaughter. Born December 19, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the only child of the late Edwin M. and Virgie (Schriner) Cook.

Lorraine was employed at Goodwill Store and was always taking time to talk to everyone. She had a very strong faith in her Lord and was one of the most kind-hearted people you could ever meet.

She is survived by three sons, E. Mike Normant of Normantown, WV, Wesley (Bonnie) Normant of Mt. Vernon and David (Kay) Normant of Lexington, KY; six grandchildren, Lori Normant of Mansfield, Lisa Wilcox of Iberia, Melissa Normant, Sarah Normant and Megan Normant, all of Normantown, WV and Isaiah (Laura) Normant of Lexington, KY; and four great-grandchildren, Sidney, Dylan, Owen and Serenity. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Normant and daughter, Virginia Lee Normant.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Mansfield Cemetery with Alex Stewart officiating. Friends and family may visit from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Lorraine Normant.
