
Louella Vails Williams, 75, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2008. God in His special way at his perfect time chose from the midst our beloved Louella Williams and asked to her to His heavenly host, where her spirit will live on with Him forever. Louella Williams was born on March 7, 1933, in Columbus, MS to Samuel Vails and Agnes Green Vails. Louella accepted the Lord at age 15 while at the Frierson Chapel in Columbus, MS. After moving to Mansfield, OH in 1956, she joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She served as deaconess, and was prayer warrior. Louella was a graduate of Union Academy High School and retired from Artesian after 17 years of service. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed her time fishing, gardening and working in her flower gardens. Louella was a very good person who never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by her family.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Ervie Lee Williams; three daughters, Dorothy Williams-Sanders of Kansas City, MO, Thelma Williams of Mansfield and Linda Michael Smith of Omaha, NE; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Carrie Lagron of Columbus, MS and Sadie Eddie Crusoe of Mansfield; a host of nieces, nephews and very good friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Ervie Williams, Jr.; a sister, Ida Mae Vails; and a brother, Henry James.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008, at the Maddox Memorial Temple Church of God in Christ, 1148 Walker Lake Road, Mansfield, OH 44906 conducted by Rev. Aaron Williams, Sr., and Rev. Aaron Williams, Jr. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Louella Williams.
